Crowns (caps) are used to cover an entire tooth. Crowns can be for functional or aesthetic purposes (or both). Covering the tooth completely prevents it from breaking during regular biting and chewing.
If you are unhappy with the appearance of your front teeth we can improve them through placement of one or more crowns or veneers. Veneers are a thin shell of porcelain that is placed on the front surface of the tooth. Veneers are used when the tooth that is being treated is in good shape and does not have a large filling.
In dentistry, bridges provide a connection between teeth to replace a missing tooth. The teeth on either side of the space are reduced (shaved down) and crowns are placed on each of them with a pontic (fake tooth) fused between the two.
Dental implants is a procedure that is performed to replace or restore damaged and/or missing teeth with artificial ones that will look and function like the patient's natural, healthy teeth. Dental implants offer a durable alternative to uncomfortable dentures and less attractive bridgework.
