TMJD Treatment

TMJ stands for the temporomandibular joint and is where the lower jaw (mandible) joins the temporal bone of the skull in front of the ear on each side of the head. A small disc of cartilage separates the bones so the mandible slides easily. The TMJ moves every time one chews, talks, and swallows and is one of the most frequently used joints in all of the body. Neuromuscular dentistry involves the realignment of your bite by placing your jaw into its most optimal position.
